One of my favourite places is St. Mary's churchyard in Bowdon as apart from looking at the ancient gravestones you also have a superb view over the Cheshire plane. The Lovell radio telescope is clearly visible and on a good day Mow Cop in Staffordshire. Next to the church wall is a bench and it is a most pleasant place to sit and just enjoy the surroundings.
