Farm Details
A 200 acre mixed family farm. The current farmer is the 4th generation to farm there. They have 1300 pigs and a herd of 150 rare breed cattle. They sell all the produce themselves and all the land is in environmental conservation schemes. They work with DEFRA and Reaseheath College, taking visits from students during the week. All decisions concerning the working of the farm are taken with the benefit of the local birdlife in mind. They have three barn owl boxes with cameras in that link to the Education Centre. The farm has won the Cheshire Farms Competition – Farming and Wildlife category for the last two years.
Visit Details
They offer a tour of the farm, environmental work and rare breed cattle. Work can be done on the food chain, pond dipping, hedgerow surveys and pollution controls. Visits take two hours minimum to a full day and can take place daily. They have an education centre for 100 people with study materials available. The centre is up some stairs, but an alternative location can be found for groups with limited mobility. Washroom facilities are available on the ground floor.

Book via telephone 2-3 days in advance. There are no costs involved. Parking is available and the farm is located just off the A41. There is no minimum number for visits. Up to 60 people can be accommodated.
