Online lecture – shining a light on soil – January 18th, 2021

Healthy soil is crucial. We need it for so many things from food production, to flood defences to combating climate change. So why are we taking our soil for granted?

We hope you can join us at a special CPRE Zoom event to hear more about why soil is so important, and what are some of the main threats and solutions to soil health.

The event will be facilitated by Debbie McConnell (Chair – CPRE Lancashire, Liverpool City Region & Greater Manchester) and will include two expert speakers followed by a short Q&A session.

Our first speaker will be Chris Molyneux, a local vegetable farmer who will talk about his journey to more sustainable farming and healthier soils.

Our second speaker will be Helen Greaves from University College London who will then share insights into soil management from her latest research into farmland pond restoration.

This event is open to all and there is no charge but booking is essential. When you have booked a space, you will receive information on how to register for the Zoom lecture. Visit Eventbrite to book: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/shining-a-light-on-soil-zoom-tickets-133824371297
