21st March – CPRE Cheshire hosts rural planning event

Town and Parish Councillors attended training delivered by CPRE Cheshire on 21st March

On 21st March 2023, Jackie Copley and Jonathan Clarke of CPRE Cheshire delivered an online training event for members of Cheshire Association of Local Councils (ChALC). ChALC is the umbrella organisation which promotes the rights and interests of Parish and Town Councils across Cheshire and is therefore a hugely important organisation for CPRE to be involved with.

The event – which was chaired by Jackie Weaver – covered many rural planning issues such as: affordable housing; countryside protection; biodiversity; rural economy and farming; transport; and neighbourhood plans.

There was a lively and enjoyable debate and we hope to hold similar events with ChALC in the future.
