Book launch: Across a waking land, by Roger Morgan-Grenville

How do we protect and live alongside nature in a crowded land?

Author Roger Morgan-Grenville walked 1000 miles visiting impassioned campaigners fighting to protect precious wild places at the heart of their communities. Danes Moss, the last place that he visited, encapsulates society’s dilemma as we try to accommodate the needs of both people and nature.

Roger’s book explores the state of British nature and celebrates those working relentlessly to stop its destruction.

The Save Danes Moss campaign group are hosting a discussion between Roger and acclaimed author and naturalist, Mark Cocker, about his journey, the campaigners he met along the way, and activism.

The event is taking place on Thursday 20th April at 7pm, at St Michael’s and All Angels, Market Place, Macclesfield, SK10 1DY.

There is no charge for attendance, but any donations received will go to the Save Danes Moss campaign fundraiser.
