Hedgerow Heroes winter 25-26: last dates for volunteer hedge planting

13th March 2026

Our hedge planting and restoration activities this winter are well underway, funded by the CPRE Hedgerow Heroes programme.

So now we’re looking for volunteers to come along and help out – no experience required. It’s a great opportunity to support wildlife, help boost carbon capture, and get some fresh air and exercise at the same time!

For most sessions, we are recruiting volunteers through TCV – The Conservation Volunteers. Their team are providing hands-on hedgework knowledge and skills plus appropriate young plants and tools, making sure the hedges get off to a great start.
