Lambing events in Cheshire 2026
Cheshire is famous for its wonderful green fields and farms. And as March gets underway, signs of spring are all around us – including the first lambs. To help you find some spring joy near you, here’s a selection of farms with public lambing sessions. Watch new lambs as they find their feet, see how the mother ewes care for and feed their babies – maybe even see lambs being born!
Holmes Chapel
Bidlea Dairy
Bidlea Dairy are hosting open lambing events on the 8th and 9th April and the weekends of 11th/12th and 18th/19th April. Demonstrations, animal handling and hands-on role play activities.
Adults £8.04, children 1 and over £10.72, under 1, free.
Knutsford
Tatton Park Farm
Tatton Park Farm lambing 2026 is from 28th March – 5th April. Lots of other animals to see, too.

The Lambing Shed
The Lambing Shed have in the past held open lambing events, but no dates are advertised at the time of writing this post (3rd March). Check their website direct for any updates.

Macclesfield
Blaze Farm
Lambing sessions on various days from 28th March – 12th April.
Other animals to see, and a nature trail. Plus tea and cake in the old shippon (milking shed) and the farm’s delicious Hilly Billy ice cream.
£7.50 for adults and children over 2, £2,50 for those under 2. Small booking fee.
Pye Ash Farm
Lambing Live – The farm are expecting over 1000 lambs to be born this year. They are opening their doors on the weekends of 5th/6th April and 12th/13th April 2025.
Each session is 90 minutes, giving you 45 minutes in the lambing shed and 45 minutes to enjoy additional time on the farm – take a tractor ride, meet the sheepdogs, and find out about spring time on the farm!
£17.29 for adults (over 12), £13.10 for children between 2 and 12 and £4.19 for under 2 years.
Nantwich
Reaseheath
Reaseheath College farm is open for 2026 lambing events on 7th and 8th March. Watch the arrival of new born lambs, and catch a local Farmers’ Market. There are also talks on lambing throughout the weekend. Tickets include family activities and admission to Reaseheath’s ‘Mini Zoo’. The event runs from 10-4pm with the last entry being 3pm.
£11 for adults, £7 for children, students and seniors, with under 3’s free. Family tickets £33 (2 adults and up to 3 children).
Warrington
Bates Farm
Bates Farm have previously held lambing weekends, but the website has no dates as at 3rd March 2026.
