Lambing events in Cheshire 2025

Cheshire is famous for its wonderful green fields and farms. And as March gets underway, signs of spring are all around us – including the first lambs! To help you find some spring joy near you, here’s a selection of farms you can visit to see lambs being born.

Knutsford

Tatton Park Farm

Tatton Park Farm lambing is from 5th – 13th April 2025. Lots of other animals to see, including piglets born in February.

Ticket cost – in person tickets to the farm are £9 for adults, £7 for children age 4-15, free for under 4 years of age, concessions or carers for the disabled with a valid benefit certificate, family tickets from £17. 10% discount if you book online. There’s also a fee for taking a car into the park – £6.50 Mon-Fri. £8 weekends and bank holidays, £4 for Blue Badge holders.

Tatton Park Farm

The Lambing Shed

The Lambing Shed are holding two lambing weekends in 2025, on 5th/6th April and 12th/13th April. At these events you’ll be able to watch lambs being born, have a chance to stroke them, and learn lots of lamb fun facts!

Cafe and shop.

Ticket cost –  £12 for adults/over 13 years, £10 from 1-12 years or free for children under 1.

The Lambing Shed Lambing

Macclesfield

Blaze Farm

Various days and times from 5th April – 21st April.

See ewes giving birth to baby lambs and watch how the mother cares and feeds her babies. Various other animals to see, too. Plus tea, cake and the farm’s delicious Hilly Billy ice cream.

Ticket cost –  £6 for adults and children over 2, £2 for those under 2. Small booking fee.

Pye Ash Farm

Lambing Live – The farm are expecting over 1000 lambs to be born this year. They are opening their doors on the weekends of 5th/6th April and 12th/13th April 2025.

Each ticket includes 90 minutes of activity, including 45 minutes in the lambing shed and 45 minutes on the farm after. It includes watching lambs being born, cuddling and bottle feeding the lambs, meeting the lamb farmers and hearing talks and more.

Tickets – £16 for adults (over 12), £12 for children under 12 and £4 for under 2 years.

Reaseheath

Lambing weekend – 8th/9th March 2025. Watch the arrival of new born lambs, and catch a local Farmers’ Market. There are also talks on lambing throughout the weekend. Tickets include family activities and admission to Reaseheath’s ‘Mini Zoo’. The event runs from 10-4pm with the last entry being 3pm.

Prices – Tickets are £10 for adults, £6 for children, elderly and disabled people and under 3’s are free. Card payments only.

Warrington

Bates Farm

Bates Farm are holding lambing weekends on 8th/9th March and 15th/16th March. Meet and cuddle the lambs, take a farm tour, and meet the farmers. You will also be taught about the lambs and children can join the ‘vet school’ to take a fun quiz on what they have learnt.

Tickets – Children and adults £16, under 2 years £4.
