Free bluebell walks in Cheshire 2025

Fancy spotting some bluebells on your spring-time stroll? Then look no further than our list of some of the best places to see Cheshire bluebells in 2025! All are free and just waiting for you to explore.
All natural woodland areas have trail routes linked from the Wildlife Trust website. Please read further information regarding which routes have a public right of way.

Bluebell Cottage Gardens
Bluebell Cottage Gardens, Lodge Lane, Dutton, Cheshire, WA4 4HP
Whilst there is a small charge for admission to their formal gardens (RHS members and children go free), their bluebell woods are open and free to visit Wednesday – Saturday 10am-5pm.

Swettenham Valley
Swettenham, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, CW12 2LF
From the Swettenham Arm’s car park a network of footpaths can be accessed, though walkers are asked to stick to the original and green trail links on the Wildlife Trust website – as opposed to the orange and purple trails that are on private land and not open to the public. The woodland is accessible.

Woodland area and boardwalk trail. The Cheshire Wildlife Trust website explains the places where you can see the bluebells are not suitable for those with limited mobility; however the wider country park is suitable for mobility scooters.
Adjacent to the River Weaver, Kingsmead, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 8WB
The Cheshire Wildlife Trust explains whilst the boardwalk and some trails have steep inclines, the wood can be accessibly viewed from the main footpath.
1.5km from Kingsley, Kingsley, Cheshire, WA6 8HR (exact location found within the link below to the Wildlife Trust Website)
Whilst this woodland is not suitable for wheelchair users, it does contain a multitude of flower species. Note – Access to this site is currently affected by ash-dieback disease but the public can still walk around the neighbouring Hunter’s Wood.
