Cheshire East Local Plan scoping consultation response August 2026

To prepare their new Local Plan, Cheshire East Council are now using the new fast-track process introduced by central government. The Plan is now at the scoping stage, which the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) state is about ‘inviting feedback from stakeholders on how to engage with them and what the plan should contain’.

Our response addresses both these points, and includes as an appendix our response to the earlier consultation on issues and options.

Consultation for this stage ends on 1 September. It is open to members of the public and to interested organisations – please use the information given here to inform your own response.
